1. What kind of food and drinks do you serve after the races?
Our awesome sponsors take great care of you in this department. Plenty of water is provided along with other beverages and snacks. Arbor Montessori School's families make up dozens of homemade cookies and will be grilling tasty Brats - veggie friendly, too! Buns, mustard and ketchup are provided - so hurry across that finish line and get to the party!
2. My family is coming to cheer me on and snap some action photos. Can you tell me where they should hang out to get the best views of the race?
We recommend printing out the race site map for your family so they can get a sense of the positioning of the transition area (TA), the orientation of the swim course, the run start line, the position of the finish line, etc. There will be lots of room on the beach for watching the swim. After that, they may want to be near the TA and then make a final move toward the finish line. If you're participating in the runs, there is a lot of room on the grass near the start line for watching and cheering. All the maps are available on the event website at www.issaquahtri.com. Click on the Course Maps link in the left column. All maps are finalized and will be posted officially the week before the event.
3. My family members are interested in volunteering for your event. Who do I contact?
We'd love to have their help! There are a variety of positions to choose from. You can email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. We take really good care of our volunteers, too - offering hot coffee, donuts, and an awesome event volunteer shirt to the first 100 to sign up.
4. Where does all the money go?
All of the proceeds go to the Eastside Montessori Education Foundation, a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization which supports Arbor Montessori School. For more information please see the “About Us” page.
