Welcome to the 2012 Issaquah Triathlon
Come join us on June 2nd, 2012 for the Issaquah Triathlon offering a sprint distance triathlon for adults, a duathlon (just the bike and run for those who are not ready to jump in the lake!), a 10k race, a 5k race, and a kid's triathlon! The entire family can join in the fun at the Lake Sammamish State Park with vendors, food, and great spectator locations to get some great pictures! Our course is great for a first time triathlete, with friendly volunteers all along the race course and great scenery to enjoy around the State Park. For our more experienced triathletes we have a competitive start wave to set that personal record and get prepared for the busy race season. This triathlon benefits the Eastside Montessori Education Foundation in conjunction with Arbor Schools. If you have any questions that you can't find answers to in the links to the left please feel free to contact us at any time at info@issaquahtri.com, we'd love to help in any way we can!
Please be patient with us as we are in the process of updating all of the information on our website. Look for a new site to be launched in March!

For those that didn't get a chance to see our thank you from last year:
Thank you so much for supporting Arbor Schools' 11th Issaquah Triathlon. The event was an overwhelming success on a variety of levels. The weather gods blessed us with beautiful weather, our courses were safe and virtually dry, and all present seemed to have a splendid time. This event is a major fundraiser for Arbor Schools and we couldn't produce it without the thousands of hours of volunteer time our families and friends put in, the financial support we receive from our sponsors and the performance of the competitors.
To thank you each year we try to improve the event. This year we hired a professional triathlon coordinator, Trifreaks, we had several of our sponsors at the event, and we went green. Our sponsor Allied Waste helped us by providing compost, recycle and garbage containers throughout the site. Thank you all for participating in managing our event waste. We also went green by eliminating trinkets for our age group winners, instead providing them with substantial discounts for next year’s event. This way they get a financial reward for their hard work and we keep our planet free of one more piece of swag.
We hope your experience this year improved as a result of our efforts and that you had as much fun supporting and participating in our event as we had putting it on. Hope to see you all next year.
Thanks,
Arbor Schools Students and Staff
