Because Competing is only Half the Fun!!
Be A Volunteer
The Issaquah Triathlon is a community event. We have many different volunteer positions available, so there is sure to be something to match your interest and busy schedule. Each year we need approximately 250 volunteers to put on this event. There are so many things you can do to help and you can commit as much time as you have. Our biggest current needs are for organizing groups of volunteers to help marshal the race and keep everybody safe and on track, We also have opportunities at packet pick-up, registration, course setup and clean up after the event. We encourage you to volunteer with your family, friends and neighbors to join in the event. Thank you for your consideration!Volunteer Options to Consider
- Day before the event (June 4th, 2010)
- Work at athlete registration: 2:00 – 7:00 p.m.
- Assist with park set-up: 2:00 – 7:00 p.m.
- Event Day (June 5th, 2010)
- Pick up materials from our sponsors. If you have a truck or large vehicle we can definitely use you.
- Be a marshal of for the swim, bike, run and kids tri course. This requires a lot of cheering and encouragement so bring your voice.
- Mark athletes with their race numbers using permanent ink!
- Provide water & medals and collect timing chips at the finish line.
We encourage an all day shift support: 5:30 a.m. – 12:00 pm on the day of the race but we certainly wouldn’t say no to a ½ day shift: 5:30 a.m. – 9:30 a.m. or 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
